Stretching Writers
A monthly salon for writers who live in their heads - and forget they have bodies.
Once a month, a small group of writers gathers in my London home for two hours.
Hour one: Gentle yoga designed to reset the writer’s body.
Writers live in their heads, but the body keeps the score. Hours at the desk leave us with stiff necks, clenched jaws, rounded shoulders, and other aches and pains we try to ignore. This hour is designed to start loosening all that.
Hour two: A roundtable discussion. (Not a critique group.) We talk about what we're working on, what's going well, what's challenging us. Think of it as a support group for the creative process.
Who this is for: Writers at any stage—published, unpublished, just starting, or stuck in the middle. And don’t worry - you don't need to be "good at yoga." We aren’t auditioning for Cirque du Soleil! We’re just going to do some gentle stretches and yoga poses to get that stuck energy flowing again.
